Two Cameron residents received what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries when the SUV's they were driving collided with one another north of Cameron on Tuesday morning. Sixty-eight year old Judy Person was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Fifty-three year old Debra Whiteaker was taken by private vehicle to her doctor's office.
The accident was four miles north of Cameron on DeKalb County Route EE. The SUV driven by Ms. Person was northbound while the SUV driven by Ms. Whiteaker was southbound.
After impact, the Whiteaker SUV came to rest on the driver's side of the vehicle. It was demolished. The other SUV, which was extensively damaged, came to rest on its wheels. Both of the women WERE wearing seat belts. |
