A Galt resident received what the Highway Patrol called minor injuries when a car hit the rear of a van in Milan on Tuesday morning. Forty-four year old Linda Dillon of Galt was to seek medical attention on her own. She was the driver of the car.

The operator of the van, 33-year old Amilia Alfaro of Milan, was not reported hurt.

The accident was on Highway 5 in Milan. The Patrol said Ms. Alfaro slowed to make a left turn when her vehicle was struck from behind by the car driven by Ms. Dillon.

Damage was extensive to the car and moderate to the van. Both people were wearing seat belts.
