KTTN/KGOZ News : Livingston County deputies to give away "Project Gun Safe" merchandise
Posted by Tom on 2012/8/29 18:36:23 (251 reads) News by the same author

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department says it is giving away an additional 100 gun locks and related informational pamphlets. Sheriff Steve Cox said the program, called "Project Gun Safe", is hoped to increase awareness of firearms safety and home safety.

The Livingston County Sheriff's Department has given away more than 1,000 gun locks in the past. They applied again for a "Project Gun Safe" grant which enabled the acquisition of 100 additional gun locks to be given away.

The free gun locks are available at the Livingston County Sheriff's Department building in Chillicothe. Sheriff Cox reminds county residents of the importance of "keeping firearms secure" and to "educate your children and grandchildren about firearms safety".
