The Trenton Bulldogs will be aiming for a 2-0 start to the football season tomorrow night, hosting the Lexington Minutemen in the home opener at C.F. Russell Stadium. Kickoff on Hot Country Z 101.7 and is slated for 7 o'clock, with Football Frenzy at 5:30.

The Bulldogs come off of an 18-14 road win at Carrollton a week ago, a game won on a 44 yard touchdown pass from Jacob Spillman to Seth Acton on a favorite play of Coach Wes Croy's known as the 'bubble screen':

Lexington High School struggled in its season opener at Oak Grove, and is adjusting to a new head coach in Andy Lierman in 2012. Despite the sense of a rebuilding project with the Minutemen, Coach Croy is making sure the Bulldogs are ready to go for the home opener:

If you are headed to the stadium for Friday night's game, keep in mind that the remnants of Tropical Storm Isaac are expected to be headed toward the Trenton area throughout the day on Friday. Shower chances are expected to be on the increase after 1 o'clock on Friday afternoon, with 30 percent chances of rain increasing to 60 percent by kickoff on Friday night, with heavy rainfall possible.

In addition to our “on the air” and “webstreaming” options on Friday night, you can also view video of the game with live audio by clicking on the “Internet TV” option of our websites, and! Tom Johnson will be joined by Quentin Albrecht for the play-by-play, with Dan Maxey providing the video link!
