Shatto Dairy in Osborn has resumed operations after a plant permit was reinstated. That information came from the Missouri Milk Board, in conjunction with the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Health and Senior Services.
Test results received on Tuesday indicate that levels of residual phosphatase (an indicator of pasteurization), were within the standard for Grade A pasteurized milk. As a result, Shatto's permit was reinstated by the Milk Board.
The Missouri Department of Agriculture says consumers who may have products included in last week's voluntary recall of Shatto Dairy products should DISCARD them, or return them to their place of purchase. A list of those particular products is available online at www.mda.mo.gov.
