At this week's Board of Aldermen meeting in Gallatin, Mayor Barb Ballew recommended, and the aldermen approved, the removal of Terri Wright and Mike Butcher from the Gallatin Park Board. Carrie Holcomb was re-appointed to serve on the Park Board for a three-year term.

City Administrator Zac Johnson discussed with the council an "increase" in the number of water main breaks because of dry conditions. He noted the drive shaft on the city's back hoe went out last weekend while fixing a broken main.

Alderman in Gallatin have adopted an ordinance for a financial assistance agreement with the North Missouri Solid Waste Management District, headquartered in Trenton. Recycling tubs are in the process of being obtained by Gallatin officials.

Chillicothe CPA Scott Stephens has been selected for the Gallatin 2012 City Audit. The cost will be $5,500 plus out-of-pocket expense.
