A Milan man was among drivers involved in a FOUR vehicle chain reaction accident yesterday (Monday) afternoon in Jackson County.


The Highway Patrol said 31 year old David Callihan of Milan received minor injuries and was taken to North Kansas City Memorial Hospital.

One other driver, 35 year old Martha Mejia of Liberty also was taken to the same hospital for treatment of minor injuries.

Two other drivers: 34 year old Matthew Jennings of Smithville and 43 year old John Hunter of Kansas City received minor injuries but refused treatment at the scene. The accident happened on Missouri Highway 210 at Missouri Highway 291.

The patrol said an investigation of the multiple vehicle wreck continues with the assistance of deputies and the Sugar Creek Police Department.

Two of the vehicles were demolished while two others sustained extensive damage. All four people were using seat belts.
