Two people were hurt just south of Bethany when a car overturned onto the passenger side of the vehicle. The Highway Patrol said two passengers, 17-year old Brianna O'Neal and 16-year old Sierra Ash, both of Bethany, were taken by private vehicle to Harrison County Community Hospital in Bethany several hours after leaving the scene. Both girls were said (by the Patrol) to have MODERATE injuries.

The Patrol said the driver of the car, 22 year old Bryant Elder of Gilman City, was not reported hurt. The accident was early Tuesday morning, just south of Bethany, on East 330th Street. The Patrol said the eastbound car went off the right side of the road, hit an embankment, and came to rest on the passenger side of the vehicle in the middle of the road. The car sustained extensive damage. The Patrol said none of the three people were wearing a seat belt.

The Patrol said Elder was accused of two counts of supplying alcohol to a minor, leaving the scene of an accident, second degree assault by operating a vehicle while intoxicated (resulting in injury), and careless and imprudent driving.
