Season tickets for the Chillicothe Area Arts Council’s 2012-13 season are on sale now and can be purchased by contacting the arts office at 660-646-1173 or by stopping by the Chillicothe Area Chamber of Commerce office, 514 Washington Street.

For $63.00, a season ticket holder can attend 9 award-winning shows between September and May at the Gary Dickinson Performing Arts Center in Chillicothe. Student and senior discounts on season tickets are also available. A season ticket provides more than a 50% savings on individual ticket prices.

This season starts September 16 with bluegrass legends Dailey & Vincent and their band and ends in April with the “Bluestem Cowboy Band”. Other season shows include the St. Joseph Symphony Trio, The St. Louis Metro Children’s Theater, the University of Central Missouri Faculty-Alumni Big Band with music of the ’40s and ’50s; an afternoon of traditional Christmas music by the Chillicothe Area Community Choir, the Missoula Children’s Theater, International Barbershop Quartet Champions Storm Front, and a musical, “The Marvelous Wonderettes”.

Funding for the non-profit Chillicothe Area Arts Council is provided through individual and business season memberships, through local foundations and gifts, and through the Missouri Arts Council, a state agency.
