Flames and Fires : Grass fire blackens 10 acres in Grundy County

A grass fire burned about ten acres in southwestern Grundy County on Friday afternoon. It was along Route WW, slightly over one mile west of Route W.

The property owner was listed as John Rezek of Kansas City. The cause of the fire is unknown. The Grundy County Rural Fire Protection District extinguished the blaze.
