KTTN/KGOZ News : Outdoor burn ban lifted in Trenton.....for now
Posted by Tom on 2012/7/12 10:40:00 (191 reads) News by the same author

Trenton Fire Chief Rick Morris, on Monday morning, lifted the ban on outdoor burning that had been in effect in the city due to June's dry conditions. The Grundy County Commission will consider whether to lift the burn ban in rural areas of Grundy County when they meet this week (Tuesday).

As of Monday evening, that ban remains in effect in rural areas across Grundy County. Fireworks normally can be shot in Trenton only on Independence Day (July 4th) from 8 o'clock in the morning until midnight. However, they were banned this year because of the drought. The Trenton City Council is expected to discuss when those fireworks may be used.
