An accident involving a car and a motorcycle in the city of Trenton resulted in the motorcyclist being taken to Wright Memorial Hospital. Police said 56 year old Larry Denny of Trenton, who was thrown from the cycle, reported pain to his ribs and back, in addition to scrapes to his arms. The driver of the car, 79 year old Richard McLallen of Livingston, Texas, was not reported. He resides a portion of the year in Trenton.

The accident was Saturday morning on Oklahoma Avenue and 17th Street. The motorcycle was southbound on Oklahoma, while the car was northbound on Oklahoma, making a left turn onto 17th, where it traveled into the path of the motorcycle.

The collision ensued, throwing Denny to the pavement. Damage was moderate to the front of the motorcycle and moderate to the front passenger side of the car.

McLallen was given a citation accusing him with making an improper turn resulting in an accident. McLallen was using a seat belt, but Denny was not using a safety device.
