Accidents : Macon County accident injures Bevier teen

A Bevier teenager was injured late Friday afternoon in a one-vehicle accident on Old U.S. 36, 2 1/2 miles west of Macon.

The Highway Patrol says a vehicle driven eastbound ran off the road, traveled down an embankment and hit a utility pole, injuring the driver, 17-year old Chandice Gladbach of Bevier.

Miss Gladbach's injuries were described as MODERATE by the Highway Patrol. She was taken by ambulance to Samaritan Memorial Hospital in Macon. The Patrol said she WAS wearing a seat belt at the time of the accident (4:35 Friday afternoon).
