Accidents : SUV rollover in Grundy County injures four

Four people were hurt when a sport utility vehicle overturned several times northeast of Trenton. A passenger, 23 year old Mary Tunnell of Trenton was taken to Wright Memorial Hospital (in Trenton), and then flown by medical helicopter to Truman Medical Center in Kansas City. The Patrol said she had SERIOUS injuries.

Miss Tunnell's sister, 33 year old Carla Siebuhr of Lebo, Kansas, was taken to Wright Memorial with what the Patrol called SERIOUS injuries. Siebuhr was driving the vehicle involved in the accident.

Two other passengers, 18 year old Dalton Dobbs and 17 year old Cory Criqui, both of Lebo, Kansas, were taken to Wright Memorial, with Dobbs suffering from MODERATE injuries, and Criqui sustaining minor injuries.

The late Thursday morning accident was about four miles northeast of Trenton on Northeast 20th Street. The westbound vehicle went off the left side of the road, started sliding sideways, had a rear tire hit a culvert, and overturned several times, before coming to rest on its top in the center of the road. The SUV was demolished. All four people in the wreck were wearing seat belts.
