KTTN/KGOZ News : Dry weather cancels Chillicothe's "Freedom Festival"
Posted by Tom on 2012/7/3 11:29:32 (316 reads) News by the same author

The "Freedom Festival" scheduled for Chillicothe on Wednesday, July 4th has been cancelled. There is a ban on the use of fireworks throughout Livingston County, including Chillicothe, because of the dry conditions. The scheduled fireworks show on July 7th in the Simpson Park/Country Club area has been cancelled.

In addition, with continued hot temperatures in the forecast, other Freedom Festival activities scheduled that evening at Simpson Park have also been cancelled.

The festival will return in 2013, weather permitting. Fireworks stands have been allowed to stay open to serve customers wishing to use fireworks in area OUTSIDE Livingston County that currently do not have a ban.
