At a location two miles west of Novinger on Monday afternoon, the Highway Patrol said 60-year old Charles Downen of Kirksville received MODERATE injuries and was taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville for treatment.
The Patrol said Downen was driving a car westbound on Highway 6, when he went off the north side of the road, struck a field entrance, became airborne, and landed on the passenger side, coming to rest on the vehicle top. The car was demolished. The driver was using a seat belt. |
