KTTN/KGOZ News : Despite dry weather, Milan announces no changes to Independence Day events

Organizers of Independence Day activities in Milan says the events ARE STILL ON. They invite the public to join the Milan Elks celebration of the holiday.

Through donations from local businesses and fund raising conducted by the Milan Elks, the lodge is sponsoring a professional fireworks display at dusk on Wednesday night. Over 300 individual shells are planned for the display. The location will be at the Sullivan County Country Club, one mile east of Milan on Third Street.

Other events include an "Old Fashioned" barbecue meal with burgers, hot dogs, potato chips, strawberries, and ice cream. The supper, hosted by the Sullivan County Country Club, starts at 6 o'clock on Wednesday night. Cold beverages will be available for Independence Day events in Milan.
