KTTN/KGOZ News : King City man arrested on multiple charges

A King City man has been arrested on multiple charges twenty-four hours after his motorcycle struck a deer two miles west of Stanberry. The accident resulted in injuries for the operator an an 11-year old passenger.

The Highway Patrol said 28 year old Brian Law of King City had fled the scene of the U.S. Highway 136 accident on Friday night. His passenger on the motorcycle, Jonathan McGinley of Darlington, received MODERATE injuries and was taken to Northwest Medical Center in Albany.

The Highway Patrol's report said Law was arrested late Saturday night on various charges. He is accused in Gentry County of three felonies. They are Endangering the Welfare of a Child (by allegedly leaving him behind), Leaving the Scene of an Injury Accident, and Driving While Revoked or Suspended.

After a Monday arraignment in the Associate Division of Gentry County Circuit Court, Law's next court appearance is scheduled for Thursday, July 5th.

The Patrol also noted that Law was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant from another county (Alleged Driving While Revoked in CASS County).
