Drivers of two vehicles received minor injuries in a Highway 6 accident in Daviess County last night. The Highway Patrol said 19 year old Brandon Curtis of Gallatin was taken to Liberty Hospital while 33 year old Sandra Smith of St. Joseph went to Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph.

The Patrol said both vehicles were westbound when Ms. Smith slowed due to a deer crossing the road. Her van was struck from behind by the other car. Both vehicles came to a controlled stop on the westbound shoulder.

Damage was moderate to both vehicles in the accident nearly two miles east of Altamont. Both drivers were using seat belts.
