There were 144 participants in the Gooseberry Festival's Five and Ten Kilometer run and walk on Saturday morning in Trenton. Roberto Garcia of Trenton was the overall winner in the 10K run with a time of 37:51. He competed in the men's ages 20 to 25 division.
The top finisher among the women in the ten kilometer distance was Jewell Harris of Trenton with a time of 55:21. She was in the women's ages 26 to 30 division.
The overall winner in the five kilometer run was Richard Witten of Trenton (in the men's 50 to 59 division), with a time of 22:30.
The top finisher in the Women's 5K was Jessi Westcott of Trenton, with a time of 25:10. She was in the ages 10 to 14 division.
The 144 participants in the Gooseberry Festival Walk and Run was nine more in comparison in 2011. Saturday's event was sponsored by the Grundy County Health Department. |
