A Trenton athlete has been drafted by a major league baseball franchise. Austin Norris was taken in the 39th Round of last week's selections by the Philadelphia Phillies. (That was the FINAL pick of the 39th round).
Norris has signed to play baseball at Maple Woods Community College in Kansas City next year. He is also the grandson of Kansas City Royals Senior Advisor Mike Arbuckle, who is a Trenton native and former employee in the Phillies scouting department.
Austin Norris graduated from Trenton High School in May and is the son by Jim Norris and Kelli Wilford of Trenton, and grandson of Vernon and Pam Norris of Trenton. |
