Livingston County Sheriff Steve Cox reports a 45 year old Chillicothe man, David Newsom, has been sentenced to 15 years in prison on charges accusing him with two counts of manufacturing methamphetamine.

The sentencing was done on Tuesday afternoon by Judge Thomas Chapman in Livingston County Circuit Court.

Sheriff Cox said Newsom was arrested in December 2011 in the Avalon area when a meth lab investigation came to a head.

Cox said the investigation led to two search warrants in Chillicothe and rural Dawn where others were arrested related to the manufacture of meth.
