The Highway Patrol says a boy on a bicycle was injured on Thursday evening when he was struck by a car.
The accident occurred at Brunswick in Chariton County, when seven year old Sean Utterback was riding a bicycle and hit struck by a car driven by 26 year old Michael Leimkuehler of Brunswick.
Utterback suffered injuries described as SERIOUS by the Highway Patrol, and was flown to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. Leimkuhler was not reported hurt. The Patrol's investigation indicated that the boy on the bicycle drove into the path of the eastbound car on U.S. Highway 24. |
