The Green Hills Animal Shelter in Trenton will host an "Amateur Dog Show" on Saturday, June 9th as a fundraiser for the animal shelter. The entry fee is $10.00, which allows dogs to be entered in as many categories as their owners wish.

There will be "Best Of" categories, involving obediency, talent or trick, groomed, costume, best of show, best handler (adult and child), and best matched pair of owner and dog.

Promoters say it will be a casual event. Dogs must be on a leash and attended by their owners at all times. Proof of current vaccinations is required.

The Amateur Dog Show is Saturday morning, June 9th at 9 o'clock at the Animal Shelter building in Trenton. Registrations forms are available online at www.GreenHillsAnimalShelter.org, at the shelter itself, and on the day of the show at 8 o'clock.

Snacks and baked goods will be available to purchase, and the thrift show will be open.
