Automobile Accidents : Tuesday morning wreck injures Green City teen

A teenage girl from Green City was injured when thrown from her car in a Linn County traffic accident on Tuesday. The Highway Patrol described injuries as SERIOUS for 16 year old Ashley Lewis. She was flown by medical helicopter to Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

The State Patrol said Miss Lewis was southbound when her vehicle traveled off the left side of Fresno Drive, overturned and struck a tree. The report indicated she was NOT wearing a seat belt. The accident, three miles east of Linneus, demolished the vehicle.
