Two persons were injured when two vehicles collided Sunday night in eastern Putnam county. Taken to Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville with MODERATE injuries was 45 year old Charlotte Cain of Unionville. The driver of the second vehicle, 52 year old Cheryl Ridinger of Worthington refused treatment at the scene.

The accident was on Putnam County Route W, east of Highway 149. The State Patrol said the two vehicles met on a hill-crest and side-swiped.

Damage was extensive to the car driven by Ms. Ridinger and moderate to the one operated by Ms. Cain. Both drivers were using seat belts.
