News : Relay For Life announces Trenton dinner next week

The Grundy County Relay For Life, in association with the American Cancer Society, holds a dinner the evening of May 24th at the First Christian Church in Trenton. The dinner is free for cancer survivors.

Relay For Life County Chair Sarah Maloney says there will be a nominal charge for care-givers and guests attending the dinner with a cancer survivor.

Reservations can be made by contacting Sarah Maloney, Shelly Searcy, Laura Patterson, or Paul Fraser by Tuesday, May 22nd.

The dinner is the evening of Thursday, May 24th at 5:30 at the First Christian Church in Trenton. Cancer survivors attending can sign up to receive a free t-shirt and participate in the survivor's lap of the Grundy County Relay For Life on Saturday, June 2nd.

Activities on the evening of June 2nd include musical entertainment, games, luminaria, and Fight Back ceremonies, an auction, food booths, and a skin cancer screening. Those activities are from 12 noon until 12 midnight at Circle Drive in front of Trenton Middle School.
