A fund raising event scheduled for this Saturday (May 12th) at Princeton will give its net proceeds to the American Cancer Society. The event is called "Rope For Hope". It will be held at the Saddle Club Arena at the west edge of Princeton off Highway 136.

The first competition is at 10 o'clock, with additional events starting at 12 noon. Payback will be 50% of the total pot in each roping.

Cattle are provided by the C.S. Cattle Company. Local sponsors include Wayne County Hospital of Corydon, Iowa which is affiliated with Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Barnes-Baker Automotive of Trenton, and Ron Hunt of Princeton. The fund-raising event on Saturday is produced by Sagebrush Sally's Relay For Life team. A concession stand will be open throughout the day. Prizes are to be given away.
