Posted by Tom on 2012/5/11 10:22:32 (372 reads) News by the same author

Mail carriers this Saturday (May 12th) will be collecting non-perishable food items to the Community Food Pantry. It is the mail carriers annual promotion called "Stamp Out Hunger".

Town and rural letter carriers, in partnership with the U.S. Postal Service, will collect food for families in need. The non-perishable items are to be collected in a bag and placed beside the mailbox in time for pickup this Saturday.

Suggested items include canned meats and vegetables, soups, juices, pasta, cereals, and rice. Donators are asked to check the freshness dates on the products and NOT include items that have expired or are in glass containers.
