A Winston resident was injured in a two vehicle accident on Tuesday afternoon in Daviess County, three miles west of Gallatin on Highway 6.
It involved a vehicle driven by 52 year old Daniel Ayres of Winston and a tractor-trailer operated by 47 year old Donald Kintz of Edson, Kansas.
The Highway Patrol described injuries as MODERATE for Daniel Ayers, who was taken by ambulance to Cameron Regional Medical Center. Kintz was not hurt.
The Patrol said Ayers was westbound on Highway 6 while the big truck was eastbound, turning north. As it began to turn, the larger truck apparently pulled into the path of the other vehicle. Damage was moderate to Ayers' vehicle and minor to the truck. Both drivers were using seat belts. |
