Caldwell County Route W over EAST SHEEP Creek is to be closed beginning Monday, May 7th for a bridge replacement. That is in northwestern Caldwell County. The closure is expected to be four to five weeks.

The project is part of Missouri's Safe and Sound Bridge Replacement and Repair program. That program includes nine bridges in Caldwell County, seven of which have already been completed.

In DeKalb County, MoDOT has announced that Route E will be closing on Monday, May 7th at the LOST CREEK Bridge, located 1/2 mile east of the south Route H junction. On Tuesday, May 29th, Route E will then close at the EAST FORK LOST CREEK bridge, located one mile west of Route A.

Each of the bridges in DEKALB County will be closed for six to eight weeks during construction. Motorists will need to use alternate routes during these bridge closures.

The projects in DeKalb County are the FINAL TWO bridges to be completed under MoDOT's Safe & Sound Bridge Improvement program.
