Sports : NCMC Lady Pirates sign William Christman product

Jenni Croy, Head Coach of the Lady Pirates basketball team at North Central Missouri College in Trenton, has announced her second recruit for the 2012-13 team. It is Samone Redditt, a student at William Chrisman High School in Independence.

Samone is described by Coach Croy as a great addition to the Lady Pirates team, and a hard-working kid who will step into our program and be very successful. She is a gym rat and has the capability to run the point or be the shooting guard, and her defense really impressed the coaching staff as well.

Samone is a 58 guard and has scored over 1,000 points in her high school career. She was a First Team All-Conference member in 2011 and 2012. Also, she was on the All-Area First Team in 2012, All-Area Second Team in 2011, and All-Area Honorable Mention in 2010 and 2009. Samone was the Conference Player of the Year in 2011 and has been a Lady Bears basketball camp counselor during the summer for her high school. At NCMC, Samone expects to earn an Associate of Arts Degree in Teaching and then transfer to a four-year college to finish her degree in Physical Education.
