It has been a slow start to 2014 for the Princeton Tigers, with both the football team and softball team starting their seasons 0-2. However, the Lady Tigers entered the win column on Tuesday night, 7-1 over Albany.
The football team lost 30-6 last Friday night at Putnam County, and despite areas of improved play from a year ago, is still struggling to break through on the scoreboard. Meanwhile, in their first season under Heather Johnson, Princeton lost a pair of low-scoring games last week (3-1 to North Harrison and 2-0 to Pattonsburg) before Tuesday night's win.
Competition level increases for the Tigers heading toward the weekend, with the football team hosting South Harrison on Friday night (on KTTN FM 92.3 and www.kttn.com) at 7 o'clock, while the softball team travels to Gallatin on Thursday night and the annual Bill Hill softball tournament in Albany on Saturday.
Here are the weekly interviews with football coach John Goodin and softball coach Heather Johnson, airing Wednesday afternoon at 5:35 on KTTN FM 92.3!
