Phil S. Dixon, of Belton, Missouri, has included Trenton on a 90 city tour to
commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Monarchs first World Series Championship.
Attendees will learn that Trenton has a very rich history as it relates to the Monarchs
including the first night game to be played in Trenton. Dixon puts a unique twist to
every program he presents in that it not only gives the history of the Monarchs but
specifically how it relates to that particular community.

The program will be held in the Hoover Theater at the Jewett Norris Library on
Thursday, September 4th at 6:30 pm. There is no cost for admission. Mr. Dixon is also
the author of several books and received an award for the "Best Baseball Book" in 1992.
He will have copies of his books available for purchase.

The program is being sponsored locally by the Trenton Kiwanis Club.
