The game was the season opener for Stan Baldwin's Lady Hornets, who fall to 0-1. Chillicothe will jump right into MEC play next week, hosting Lafayette on Tuesday, and traveling to LeBlond on Thursday. In last night's defeat, Sam Baldwin led a fairly quiet Chillicothe offense with two hits. Molly Jones pitched all seven innings for CHS, striking out three in the hard-luck loss. Lawson, now 1-2 on the young season, will be Trenton's next opponent, traveling to the Ebbe Sports Complex to take on the Lady Bulldogs Tuesday night at 5:00, on Hot Country Z 101.7 and www.kgozfm.com.
