As part of the festivities, both the Royals and Indians will wear throwback uniforms from the 1974 season. Please see the attached image of Alex Gordon and Eric Hosmer of the Royals and Mike Aviles of the Indians modeling the retro jerseys. In addition, starting at 9 a.m. on August 29, fans can bid on select game-used jerseys that will be used throughout Retro Night on www.auctions.mlb.com. Bases with special Retro Night jewels used during the game will also be available for purchase in the Royals Authentics store.

Also that evening, the first 10,000 fans through the gates will receive a limited edition Mr. Royal bobblehead. (photo attached) Mr. Royal first appeared in the 1970s and could be found anywhere from the old crown scoreboard to pocket schedules and other promotional materials.

Finally, K Crew and the grounds crew will dress in 1974 themed attire. For more information, please visit www.royals.com/retronight.
