North Harrison scored two runs early, jumping to a first inning lead against Princeton right-hander Chelsie Jones, who worked through trouble most of the night, but managed to hold the Eagleville offense to just three runs on nine hits. The Lady Tigers committed two errors.

The Lady Shamrocks pushed across an insurance run in the top of the seventh inning, making the score 3-0. Princeton appeared to be in good position for a seventh-inning rally, loading the bases against Craig, but the Lady Tigers only pushed one run across the plate, coming on an RBI by Maddie Enright. In the win, North Harrison's offense was led by Sam Rinehart, Allie Stanlie, and Emily Briggs, all with two hits each.

Princeton, weather permitting, is scheduled to play game #2 of the 2014 softball season tonight (Thursday night) at Pattonsburg (5:30 PM). Princeton's home opener comes up on Tuesday, September 2nd, as the Lady Tigers host Albany, before traveling to play at Gallatin on Thursday, September 4th. North Harrison is now 2-0 on the season, having defeated Northeast Nodaway 10-0 last Friday (August 22nd) to open the season. Weather permitting, North Harrison's girls and boys softball teams will host East Harrison, tonight (Thursday night) at 5:30 in Eagleville.
