Accidents : Separate Accidents Saturday Night Injure Four

Separate accidents on Saturday night south of Linneus and, in Dekalb County injure four.

Chillicothe and Linneus residents were hurt Saturday night when a pickup truck hit a cow on a road south of Linneus.

The driver, 18 year old Matthew Jundles of Linneus, and a passenger, 17 year old Kiley Boley of Chillicothe, were taken by private vehicle to Pershing Memorial Hospital at Brookfield with minor injuries.

The accident happened one mile south of Linneus on Elm Drive when the southbound pickup hit a cow in the road ,extensively damaging the vehicle.

Both persons were wearing seatbelts.


In a separate accident Saturday night, Bethany and McFall residents were injured when a car went off Highway 6 in Dekalb County and hit a tree.

A passenger, 16 year old Ciara Jennings of Bethany, was taken to Heartland Regional Medical Center at St. Joseph with moderate injuries.

The driver, 20 year old Logan Eivins of McFall, was taken to Heartland Regional with minor injuries. The accident happened four miles north of Clarksdale on Highway 6 when the car went off the right side of the road, traveled back onto the pavement, then off the left side of the road hitting a tree demolishing the car.

Both persons were wearing seatbelts.
