The Livingston County Sheriff has released a report of their recent activities. They include an investigation into a sex offender, stolen medications and, an investigation into child pornography.

From the press release:

The LCSO is working on an alleged Failure to Register as a Sex Offender crime. The suspect has allegedly refused to register and a report is being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for review.

July 07 we began an investigation in Ludlow on the theft of multiple controlled substances (prescription medications) from a residence. Two people had their medications stolen but the prescription bottles were left behind. Investigation continues.

Investigation into theft of water from public service has been completed in Utica. A report is being submitted to prosecuting attorney for review after 8,590 gallons of water was reported stolen after meter was tampered with.

A misdemeanor assault that took place in Wheeling has been completed after male victim reported that he was assaulted when punched multiple times from a known man in the 300 block of N. Lincoln. Report being submitted to the prosecuting attorney for consideration of charges.

We recently dealt with a reported suicidal person in rural Livingston County. Family had received information the suspect was about to end their life with a firearm. Deputies and MSHP forced entry into the home and intervened. The subject was taken to a treatment facility for evaluation.

July 11 we began an investigation of a reported assault between juveniles at the county fair. Parents and juvenile officer have been notified and report will be submitted to juvenile office for review.

The LCSO has completed a lengthy investigation of alleged unlawful conduct of a person with reported child pornography images on their phone and/or computer. Investigation has involved dumping content on cell phone(s) and obtaining those images. The juvenile in the images was identified and those parent(s) are aware of the investigation and completely cooperating. A report has been submitted to Prosecuting Attorney Adam Warren for review and consideration.

We have completed an investigation of 2 separate alleged Obstructing Justice violations after suspects allegedly violated the law in failing to appear in Court when mandated to be present. Reports being submitted to prosecuting attorney for review.



Arrests:

July 2014:

We served a Livingston County arrest warrant on Tabitha Lynnay McCoy, 28, Chillicothe for alleged class C felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. Bond was initially placed at $15,000.

A Grundy County arrest warrant served to Barbara Curl, 55, Chillicothe for alleged Passing Bad Check. Bond was set at $500.

Grundy County arrest warrant served on Timothy Stark, 33, Chillicothe for alleged Passing Bad Check 2 counts. Bond was set at $700.

Livingston County arrest warrant served on Jonathan Allen Peterie, 29, Chula for alleged class B felony Distribute/Deliver/Manufacture or Attempt a Controlled Substance. Bond was initially placed at $20,000.
