The Princeton School District's budget for the fiscal year ending Monday shows revenues surpassed spending by more than $137,000.
The Board of Education approved amendments to the budget during a meeting last night. Expenditures are slightly over $4,670,000.
The Board approved the transfer of more than $115,000 from the general fund to the
capital fund to cover costs.
The Princeton Board also adopted a budget for the next 12 months. However, those figures were not available from the Princeton School District.
The Board amended the Superintendent's contract to read that any pay increase will be determined annually by the Board of Education.
The Princeton Board of Education also met in closed session regarding personnel.
Information has been released by the Princeton School District following an executive session last Thursday night for personnel. And the Board approved a motion that Superintendent Terry Mayfield attend the closed session.
The updated information released Sunday shows Princeton R-5 Superintendent Terry Mayfield was placed on a paid leave of absence.
No further details were provided in the prepared news release.
The report stated Board member, Larry Pollard, made a motion, and Ron Parsons seconded the motion to place the Superintendent on a paid leave. A roll call vote was taken. In favor were Board members, Rick Ellsworth, Larry Pollard, Ron Parsons,Phil Rhoades, and Aaron Franklin. Board member Karla Meinke abstained from voting. The other member, Dirk Schwartzkopf, was absent for the meeting.
