Brandon Ratliff, 24, faces one Class C felony count of first-degree involuntary manslaughter, according to court documents.

In addition to the involuntary manslaughter charge, he faces one Class C felony count of first-degree endangering the welfare of a child, according to the documents.

If convicted, Ratliff could be sentenced to between one and seven years in prison on each count. He also could be fined up to $5,000 on each count.

A summons has been issued for Ratliff to appear in court July 23.

The case against Ratliff alleges that he was driving recklessly at the time of the crash by speeding, coming too close to other vehicles and driving on the shoulder and into the oncoming traffic lanes.
