Twenty years ago, three employees established the PAR Broadcast Group and began operating a third radio station from our building at 8th and Main in downtown Trenton.

The K-G-O-Z Radio station became known as Hot Country Z 101 point seven.

Today, we are celebrating with the 20th anniversary of PAR Broadcasting and Z 101 point seven. There's a free cookout, prize giveaways on the air and at our studio, plus 100 of the most popular country hits from 1994. Listeners tuned in to 101 point 7F-M can hear the countdown during a ten hour period today shortly after 8 o'clock this morning until 6 o'clock this evening. We'll have current employees, as well as some former staff, working on the air with music, interviews, and contest giveaways.

Our regular programming continues today on the KTTN A-M and F-M stations.

The cookout, which is free to the public, will be on the 8th street side of our building. Serving goes from 11 until 2 o'clock. It'll include brats, chips, cake, cookies, and drink. We'll have several Z 101 point seven souvenirs available for persons who come by while supplies last. We also have Missouri highway maps and Kansas City Royals pocket schedules. Trenton chamber of commerce and ambassadors will have a certificate presentation to KGOZ 101 point 7 at 11:50 this morning.
