News : Grundy County Sheriff Arrests Two

A 33 year old Trenton resident, Phillip Burgess, has been charged in Grundy County with operating a vehicle while under the influence of drugs in March.

The charge notes Burgess pleaded guilty to driving while intoxicated in Grundy County as well as driving while intoxicated in Boone County, both in 1998.

The charge also state Burgess pleaded guilty to possessing ephedrine in Buchanan County in 2003, and distribution of a controlled substance near a school in Grundy County in 2010.

Burgess is free from custody on bond pending an appearance June 10th in Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit Court.

34 year old Christopher Shane Owen, with addresses listed at Princeton, Trenton, and Springfield, has been charged in Grundy County with misdemeanor stealing. He was accused of appropriating gas from Stephen's MFA last September on a Quality General Construction account, without the consent of Quality General Construction.

Owen also was charged in Grundy County with non support of a child.

He was to appear today in Associate Division of Grundy County Circuit on those 2 charges.
