Sports : Trenton Blue Jays Announce Season Schedule

The schedule has been released for the Trenton American Legion Blue Jays baseball team. Steve Hudson of Trenton is the head coach.

It begins with a home double header tonight (May 28th) at 6 pm at Grimes Field in Trenton. Trenton will host the Chillicothe legion team.

The first games away from home for Trenton will be next Monday June 2nd when a 6 pm double header is played versus Chillicothe at the Danner Park in Chillicothe. Trenton also participates in a tournament at Chillicothe June 13th through 15th.

The next home games are a June 19th double header at Grimes Field, at 6 p-m, versus Brookfield. Other home baseball games for the Blue Jays are June 22nd vs Hannibal; June 29th vs Chillicothe; July 6th vs Warrensburg; and July 11th vs Maryville.

The schedule concludes with the district tournament July 16th through 18th at a location to be announced.

Proceeds supporting the American Legion and the Blue Jays Baseball team will be raised at a concession stand the night of Monday June 9th when the Chillicothe Mudcats baseball team come to Trenton for a double header at Grimes field.
