A Gilman City woman, and two children, were taken to the hospital following a single vehicle accident early last evening eight miles west of Chillicothe.

The highway patrol described injuries as minor for the driver, 35 year old Kerri Ward
and two passengers: ten year old Jolee Ward and four year old Dustin Ward. All were taken by ambulance to the Hedrick Medical Center of Chillicothe.

The highway patrol said a sports utility vehicle was southbound when it failed to negotiate a left hand curve, skidded, and traveled off Livingston County Route Y twice before striking an embankment. Damage was extensive for the S-U-V.

All persons were using safety restraints.

Another single vehicle accident was last night ten miles north of Cameron, injuring a truck driver from Minnesota. The highway patrol said 48 year old Andrew Pillola of New Ulm, Minnesota received minor injuries and was taken by an ambulance to the Cameron Regional Medical Center.

The patrol said the truck was southbound in the left lane when it traveled off the left side of Interstate 35 and went into the median. It returned to the road where the driver over-corrected; the truck began sliding and overturned onto its passenger side.

It slid to a stop in the driving lane. The truck was demolished. Pillola was using a safety device.
