Sports : Trenton Senior Advances To Class 2 State Golf Tournament

Trenton High School senior Chase Tolson shot an 18-hole score of ten-over par 81 on Monday, good for a three-way tie for eighth place, and a spot in next week's Missouri Class 2 boy's golf tournament.

The Class 2, Section 4 tournament was played at the Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond, with Barstow and Penney advancing through, sending their teams to state, with Barstow winning the sectional with a team score of 324, and Penney runner-up at 333. Other team scores were Bishop LeBlond 346, Maryville 360, Butler 367, Summit Christian Academy 391, and Warsaw at 403.

The Class 2 state championships will be held at the Silo Ridge Golf Course in Bolivar, Missouri on Monday and Tuesday, May 19th and 20th.
