Accidents : Teen Driver Injured In Accident Near Winston; Accused Of Multiple Charges

The Highway Patrol reports a car, that was just checked for speeding 85 in a 70 mile an hour zone of interstate 35 in Daviess County, went off the road and overturned several times before hitting a tree.

The driver, 18-year old Nathan Glasgow of Shawnee, Kansas, was taken to Liberty Hospital with what the Highway Patrol called serious injuries.

The accident was early yesterday on northbound I-35 just north of the Winston exit.

The Patrol said the northbound car went off the right side of the road, down an embankment, rolled several times, hit a tree, and came to rest on its wheels. The car was demolished.

The patrol report indicated Glasgow was accused of exceeding the posted limit, careless and imprudent driving resulting in an accident, being a minor visibly intoxicated, misdemeanor driving while intoxicated/alcohol, and a seatbelt violation.
