Sports : TMS Boys Finish Third At Kirksville Invitational

The Trenton Middle School boy's track and field team finished in third place in the nine-team Kirksville Middle School Invitational on Wednesday, with Kirksville first and Hannibal second.

For TMS, Colton Colston took first place in the high jump, Jadan Whitney was first place in the discus and second in the shot put, with the 4 by 800 relay team of Hayden Griffin, Cole Schilling, Wyatt Neal, and Ziccia Elder finishing first.

The 4 by 100 relay team (Webb, Colston, Murray, Marsh) was third, the 4 by 200 squad (Webb, Johnson, Knight, Wilkinson) third, and the 4 by 400 team (Colston, Knight, Johnson, Wilkinson) also third. The TMS boys, in eight track meets this spring, won four of them.

On Monday, TMS participated in the Carrollton Junior High Relays. Whitney was first in the discus and second in the shot put, Lucas Clark second in the pole vault, and the 4 by 100 relay team (Franklin, Knight, Murray, and Marsh) finished second.

The TMS girls, on Monday at Carrollton, had a second place finish from Cassidy Trump in the pole vault. Thelma Guerrero had a personal best in a runner-up finish in the 200 meter dash. The 4 by 220 relay team (Teal, Stotts, Shuler, and Trump) was third, with Taylor Richman third in the high jump, and Salem Croy third in the shot put.
