Sports : THS Tennis Steamrolls Wentworth

The Trenton High School boy's tennis team picked up its fourth head-to-head victory of the season on Tuesday afternoon, shutting out Wentworth Military Academy 9-0.

In singles play, Trenton's Isaiah Swann beat Huangal 9-0, Wilson Utley downed Blank 8-3, Alex Davis claimed an 8-2 win over Xu, Chanse Houghton shut out Flowers 8-love, Jacob Marlay defeated Wang 8-4, and Leighton Fletchall took an 8-3 win over Gao.

In varsity doubles play, Swann and Davis beat Huangal/Blank 8-1, Utley and Houghton defeated Xu/Flowers 8-2, and Gannon Albrecht and Tyler Lynch downed Wang/Gao 8-2. The Red Dragons, with the loss, dropped to 2-6 on the season.

Trenton took three singles and one doubles junior varsity matches against Wentworth. J. Davis won 6-0, Hall 6-1, and Herring 7-6. Whitney and Albrecht (Gavin) took a 6-1 win.

The Bulldogs finish the REGULAR season on Thursday afternoon at Cameron High School against the host Dragons.
