Sports : Trenton Track Has Strong Day At Maryville Relays

The Trenton Bulldog track and field teams scored a combined 183 points on Tuesday, with the boys finishing second, and the girls third at the Maryville High School Relays.

The Trenton boys scored 103 points, just seven points behind the winning total of 110 from the Lathrop Mules. Lafayette finished one point behind Trenton, with 102 points, followed by Benton (91 1/2 points), Cameron (77 1/2), Maryville (65 1/2), St. Joseph Christian (48), and Bishop LeBlond (36 1/2).

Here are Trenton (Boys) top eight individual finishes:

100 Meter Dash: Dakota Anderson - 6th
110 Hurdles: Dalton Ellis - 5th, Jacob Hamilton - 6th
200 Meter Dash: Dakota Anderson - 4th, Clinton Brenner - 6th
300 Hurdles: Dalton Ellis - 3rd, Logan Trickle - 8th
400 Meter Dash: Trey Shields - 2nd, Gavin Griffin - 7th
800 Meter Run: Charlie Hoffman - 5th, Wynne DeVorss - 7th
1600 Meter Run: Charlie Hoffman - 1st, Thomas Mack - 7th
3200 Meter Run: Trent Crawford - 1st
Shot Put - Terrin Ellis - 6th
Triple Jump - Jacob Hamilton - 7th
High Jump - Clinton Brenner - 4th
Pole Vault - Wynne DeVorss - 4th
4 By 100 Relay - Anderson, Lamp, Leeper, D. Ellis - 4th
4 By 400 Relay - Lamp, Hoffman, Griffin, Shields - 1st
4 By 800 Relay - Hoffman, Crawford, Mack, DeVorss - 1st


The Lady Bulldogs finished third with 90 points. Maryville ran away with the team title, amassing 172 points. Savannah was runner-up with 106. Other schools, and their final point totals, were Bishop LeBlond (80), Lafayette (59), Lathrop (54), Cameron (43), Benton (29), and St. Joseph Christian (28).

200 Meter Dash: Tenna Roberts - 7th
300 Hurdles: Alexis Fender - 2nd, Whitley Richman - 6th
400 Meter Dash: Tenna Roberts - 2nd
800 Meter Dash: Ayron Osborn - 3rd, Lexi Tolson - 6th
1600 Meter Run: Lexi Tolson - 7th
Shot Put: Ally Ockenfels - 1st
High Jump: Karley McCollum - 3rd, Whitley Richman - 6th
Triple Jump: Ayron Osborn - 1st
4 By 100 Relay: Raymo, Crawford, Fender, Neff - 6th
4 By 200 Relay: Raymo, Fender, Osborn, Roberts - 4th
4 By 400 Relay: Roberts, Richman, Tolson, Osborn - 4th
4 By 800 Relay: Tolson, Miller, Neff, Crawford - 3rd

The Trenton track and field team will travel to St. Joseph on THURSDAY afternoon to participate in the Lafayette Relays. Due to construction work ongoing at the Lafayette track and football field, the meet will be hosted by BENTON High School. Thursday's meet will start at 3 o'clock (weather permitting). If weather postpones the meet, schools are looking at Friday as a potential make-up date.
